If you want your honors publicized, it's now up to you to enter them below.  List your upcoming and current exhibits or shows and your recent awards and sales ($ OK for sold works) - basically anything that could also go in the Sketch Pad's Awards and Accolades column.  Hold any one item to 100 words


Ann Hair had a plein air painting titled "Almost Spring" accepted in the VAE's SCOPE the North Carolina Landscape Show and she was awarded Third Prize.

Eric Saunders won an honorable mention in professional photography at the NC State Fair in October, 2008. He also had one piece accepted into the Durham Art Guild annual juried show held in Nov-Dec, 2008, and sold two pieces while participating in Durham Art Walk Nov 1-2, 2008. In addition, he has one piece on display in the North Carolina Museum of Art education lobby, as a finalist in the Stella online challenge held by the North Carolina Museum of Art  (through April 6, 2009). Also had one piece accepted into a Visual Art Exchange monthly show ("Birds Eye View"). Sorry for not keeping up with this or the Sketch Pad!! 

Kim Maselli has published her 2nd book "Painting North Carolina", Impressions en Plein Air.   It is a beautiful book with 130 images of NC and includes the work of several FALC members.  To purchase, contact Kim.

Ann Hair's painting "Autumn Oats" was accepted by the International Society of Acrylic Painters for their online show.  Show runs Nov. 15th through Dec. 31, 2008

Sarah Mantel received First Place in the Mixed Media category as well as  received Best in Show in the Arts Council of Moore County's 28th Annual Fine Arts Festival held at the Campbell House Galleries in Southern Pines.  The exhibit runs from Aug. 1 - Aug. 29.  Tom Grubb, the director of the Fayetteville Museum of Art was judge.

"Sweet Home" watercolor painting of Meera Goyal was accepted for the 2008 Annual Watercolor Society of North Carolina show. 


Diane Kraudelt had an oil painting titled "Solitude" accepted into the Hilton Head Art League's 2008 National Juried Exhibition to be held May 2-25, 2008 at the Walter Greer Gallery on Hilton Head Island.
